Re: Creo 3 - Determining the Installed Build Code

$

Should have dug further first. Olaf Corten had the answer here:

Creo 3.0 install and build code identification

I need to add F* and M* to filter out all but the build paths, like this:

for /f "delims=" %%A in ('dir /a:d /b /o:n"C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 3.0\F*" "C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 3.0\M*"') do set BUILD=%%A

He also added the /o:n switch to force alphabetic order.

Until PTC adds new folders that start with F or M, this should work.

Lawrence,

Question no.3: Can you check the contents of CREO2_LOADPOINT\Creo 2.0\Parametric\bin\parametric.psf file ?

This file must contain two lines:

ENV=PTC_D_LICENSE_FILE-=7788@LAWRENCE-M4700

ENV=CREOPMA_FEATURE_NAME=PROE_FoundationAdv (127)

Hi Bhushan,Shirish,

Thank you for your reply. I am able to add custom step based on the type of WTPart.

Thanks,

Sithik

Lawrence,

it is strange that your license file contains INCREMENT 127 ptc_d 31.0 permanent 1 line. If you own 1 Creo license, then license file must contain two INCREMENT blocks:

INCREMENT PROE_FoundationAdv ptc_d 33.0 permanent 1

-and-

INCREMENT 127 ptc_d 33.0 permanent 1

Please contact PTC support to resolve the mismatch between INCREMENT PROE_FoundationAdv and INCREMENT 127.

ENV=PTC_D_LICENSE_FILE-=7788@lawrence-m4700

ENV=CREO_APP=PMA

ENV=CREOPMA_FEATURE_NAME=PROE_FoundationAdv ()

so looks like the 127 is missing

Not on maintenance so I may just see if I can generate a new license file from the website tools.

Re: SQL Query to find out BOM

Stefan,

WTPart-to-WTPart Parent-Child links that build a WTPart BOM are stored in the WTPARTUSAGELINK table.

WTPart-to-EPMDocument owner links are stored in the EPMBUILDRULE table.

There are more tables needed to query if you're looking to pull EVERYTHING related to a specific WTPart or EPMDocument.  Let me know if there's any way I can help you with an extraction.

Hi Martin,

The attached file shows three views.  The ISO is no hidden lines and is fine.   The bottom left view is hidden lines turned on but shows the ID of the tube as a slightly different color and solid line.  Should be a dashed (hidden) line. 1003447.jpg

Lawrence,

missing 127 is not problem. You must be able to launch Creo 2.0.

Thanks Clay I was using the replace attribute, not find/replace. You are correct it was a typo.

Thanks

Stephen,

I had just changed my profile, and made not visible phone and email.

Do you see it again?

Wow...five years and no response.

FWIW, I second Mike's request (new user here).  Inventor allows you to SELECT which way you want to zoom...just sayin'

Breaking out instances from family table check in error

Hello,

Can any one help please.

I have a family table of 20 items, 7 of which are I put into production change the others are in design.

I successfully broke out all the instances from the family table in to stand alone CAD documents but only the generic and 7 production change items can be checked in.

The others won't check in with the error notice:

Action cannot be completed as it cannot build association with Part that you do not have access to. You must gain access to the Part or the Part must be deleted from the database.

does anyone know what this means and how I can resolve it.

Another alternative would be to revert the family table to its original state but the 7 instances now exist and there is no option of deleting the latest revision of the generic family table and in instances all at once.

Ok, so my last change was saved.

If you go an activity tab and point your mouse over my name instead?

Search for the partnumbers, you would certainly find a WTPart associated with that. I think WTPart is in a  life cycle state on which you don't have access to modify.

How are the parameters defined? What type are they?

I think GAUGE may be defined as numeric and you cannot mix string and numeric values into a string parameter.

Define GAUGE as a string value, then concatenate them again.

Material_desc=PTC_Material_name+" "+Gauge+" "+Mat_type
